Yesterday the weather was pretty good so I spent some time outside and practice my photography skill. I visited Ma Wan park in Hong Kong and found a nice artificial waterfall. I thought it could be a good candidate to make my first HDR photo:
3rd of Jan, 2008 was a big day for me and my colleagues - it’s the grand opening day of the new Stepcase office! We threw a party and invited a lot of friends to celebrate together. What a great night.
Recently, I had opportunities to talk about my story of founding Stepcase and lifehack.org in local universities like Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
After I caught up with Rex, we thought having a first meetup is the best way to kick start the Ruby/RoR community in HK. So beginning of this week, Rex sent out an invitation note to the Google Group and we had our first Hong Kong Ruby on Rails meeting tonight. Five Ruby on Rails lovers attended the dinner, including: Rex Chung (RoRCraft), Chris Chan (RoRCraft), Myself (Stepcase), Johnny Kwan (Stepcase), and Dean Missikowski.
Prior to working on Stepcase full-time, Leon Ho was Manager of Software Engineering at Red Hat, responsible for the internationalization deliveries in Red Hat products. Leon managed a team across regions in Australia, Japan, China and India. Leons division added support of 22 languages in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and migrated new internationalization technologies into products. He founded Stepcase's Lifehack in 2005, a blog on productivity and personal development, which became #40 most popular blog in the world. Stepcase has been featured by major medias such as Time Magazine, BusinessWeek and Hong Kong Economic Times.
